Βασικές μέθοδοι εκτίμησης παραμέτρων
[...] Το βιβλίο "Βασικές μέθοδοι εκτίμησης παραμέτρων" αποτελεί μία εισαγωγή στην εκτιμητική και έχει γραφτεί για να χρησιμοποιηθεί για διδακτικούς σκοπούς. Στην πραγματικότητα, πρόκειται για μια βελτιωμένη έκδοση των σημειώσεων που δίνονταν κατά τα Ακαδημαϊκά έτη 2003-04 και 2004-05 στους φοιτητές του τμήματος Στατιστικής και Ασφαλιστικής Επιστήμης του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς, για τις ανάγκες τού μαθήματος τού 4ου εξαμήνου "Στατιστική Ι: Εκτιμητική". Εκείνες τις σημειώσεις τις είχα γράψει με σκοπό να παρουσιάσω τα θέματα τού μαθήματος όσο το δυνατόν πιο ολοκληρωμένα - όπως τα είχα διδαχθεί κι εγώ στο τμήμα Μαθηματικών του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών από τον Καθηγητή Σταύρο Κουρούκλη - αλλά και με "φροντιστηριακό" ύφος έτσι ώστε να γίνονται κατανοητά χωρίς να είναι απαραίτητη η παρακολούθηση των παραδόσεων. Αυτό το ύφος διατηρείται κι εδώ. Για σχεδόν όλα τα θέματα που καλύπτονται στο βιβλίο, θα βρείτε πολλά και αναλυτικά παραδείγματα με παρατηρήσεις, σχόλια και παραπομπές στην προηγούμενη θεωρία καθώς και σε ασκήσεις. [...]
