Μανιώτης, Γιώργος Ν.
Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1951. Σπούδασε νομικά στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης. Έχει γράψει, εκτός από πεζά λογοτεχνικά έργα, και πολλά θεατρικά, τα οποία έχουν παρουσιαστεί επανειλημμένως σε σκηνές της Αθήνας. Γνωστά θεατρικά έργα του είναι: "Το ματς", "Κοινή λογική", "Παθήματα", "Ο λάκκος της αμαρτίας", "Οι σύζυγοι", "Χορεύει η Κρυστάλλω μάμπο", "Καθιστική ζωή", "Διακοπές στην Ουρανούπολη", "Τάξις και αταξία", κ.ά. Γνωστά πεζογραφήματά του είναι: "Ο άγνωστος στρατιώτης" (νουβέλα μυστηρίου), "Τα μαύρα παραμύθια" (Β΄ Κρατικό Βραβείο Διηγήματος, 1998), "Η φοβερά προστασία" (μυθιστόρημα), "Ορίστε τα ρόδα, μαμά" (διηγήματα), "Το ρεπερτόριο του χειμώνα", "Το ρεπερτόριο της άνοιξης" (θρίλερ), "Το πονηρό μονοπάτι" (μυθιστόρημα), "Η αδρεναλίνη πάντοτε ψηλά" (μυθιστόρημα), "Τα Σαντέ της Σαπφώς" (διηγήματα), "Το γκαζόν του μπαμπά" (μυθιστόρημα), "Αγελάδα με φτερά" (μυθιστόρημα), "Σαράντα κύματα" (μυθιστόρημα). Ασχολείται επίσης με τη σκηνοθεσία. Διετέλεσε αντιπρόεδρος του Εθνικού Θεάτρου από το 2013 έως τους πρώτους μήνες του 2015.
